Make sure you are at 100% heat and use your 1 for item damage increases before popping Death Metal. We are using a lot of adaptive items so that we get the stat bonuses twice when activating Death metal

Adaptive item which synergizes well with death metal, cheaper, and can shred tanks. Loose %BA dmg increases and LS if you do swap out Riptalon
